So those of you from Syracuse that read this blog, please don't take offense to this, but Chris and I have not taken the time to step too far outside of the city limits to appreciate all of the surrounding beauty. So we thought Syracuse was kinda lousy. I mean with the patches of ghetto and ultra cold weather and all. But when we came back this summer we decided to have a new attitude and promised to start exploring more and enjoy the area. So that is what we did and we were very pleasantly surprised. Chris' friend suggested we go up to Green Lakes State Park. It was breathtaking. It had this long path that went around the lake. It took us a couple of hours to walk it but it was so much fun. It was a beautiful labor day. Chris even wanted to come back to go camping. He really wanted to get more of the outdoors. The cool thing was that right when we got there we ran into this family of Filipino's that offered us pork barbecue, and as any of you that know Chris, he was in heaven. I didn't realize that I had my camera, because even Missoni was holding her own stick of pork and chowing down on it. It was hilarious, she is a true Filipino. Then we took our walk to work off all of those pork calories. What a great day!

More fun pics of Missoni in Florida in May!
Bryce you are no fun, I guess I will make one last run on the stairs!
Ok, no smiling from me, I am ready to get out of here now! Bryce is a crybaby!
Oh no, why is he crying? I am not to sure about this.
Hey Bryce, How ya doing buddy? We are just about to leave.
And, I have to climb up and down the stairs a few times first!
Lisa invited us back to our old mommy and me class! What a great day. We had fun singing and dancing and playing with all of the toys! Missoni loves the train!
Missoni and Tatay are really close, It was very hard on them both when we were separated this summer! Look at that loving, safe hug! This was right before we departed for the summer!
Missoni loves her two grandmas. She calls this one Grandma, and the other one Oma! (German for Grandma)
Awww, Auntie Angie holding baby Bryce. We bonded, wink, wink! Bryce and I will always have a special connection!

This was Missoni in May when we went to go see cousin Bryce for the first time. It was a fun short little trip!
So..... I know everyone is getting upset about me not getting to the most recent pictures of our family! So I have finally budged and decided to skip ahead. But.... I will go back and add old picts. Yes that is right, all of the whining and crying and fussing did finally work so now I am going to post the picts of this summer. Missoni had a very busy summer. First she was on a jet to Florida, where she got to spend hours on the beach playing in the sand. (She even bravely went into the ocean, once because the water was very calm that day.) We spent most of our days in the pool or playing with old friends and our Oma. It was a lovely 5 weeks. Also Brock graduated and Tiff got the baby blessed. So we had a whole week in a lovely resort. We got to also play with Londy and Brandi. It was great..... ENJOY the Florida Picts!

Chris and I were sealed to eachother and then to Missoni in the Orlando Temple. I have no words to describe the wonders of the temple and how we felt on this day. They brought Missoni in to the sealing room in her white dress and the entire room burst into tears. Even people who had come into view the sealing that didn't know us were crying. It was amazing. My mom and dad were there, Chris' bro, Les and his wife Kim, and Tiff and Brock. It was a very special day. I love my family so much and so grateful for the great sealing power of the temple.

Boy meets girl in South Florida!
This is the Thompson Family love story. We should have started our blog a long time ago. So to make up for it, I am going to start back to the time I met Chris and move forward to now! Enjoy reading about our love story and how we are now doing as we make the LONG journey through Law School in Syracuse, New York! We now have a wonderful, beautiful busy 18 month old. We love her and she is the light of our lives!
We had a wonderful time down in South Florida......
We loved living in Ft. Lauderdale. Chris and I had nothing but a shabby studio apartment when we got married, but we loved it. It was so nice to see Chris ever day, while I finished up my degree at the Art Institute. He was working for Franklin Templeton and I was so busy with my thesis but we still found time to get away to the Botanical Gardens in the Gables, and Naples on the west coast. We had so much fun together our first year of marriage. Maybe too much fun, thats when I found out I was pregnant about 3 months after being married, with the biggest blessing in our life, Missoni, our gorgeous, lovely baby girl.
All because two people fell in love!
Colin is her true love!
